Nowdays, i indulged myself into watching American Series. First, "Gossip Girl", then coming " Ugly Betty". I prefer those comedy series to those full of fighting, guns , police and gangsters. That can truely prove that i am a tradional woman with romantic life style in my heart. And i have to say, American Series do excellent in those words and lines.

Among all those American series, "Sex and the city" is the series i have to mention, for it brings me huge impact. I can't count how many nights i sat in front of TV and watched it until midnight.  I was happy to see those four gorgeous women who can even freely talk about sex in teahouse. And the first season was not sponsored by international brands, so the clothes in first season looked grey and not as beautiful as the following seasons. Besides those clothes, shoes, their living styles are also fresh to me. They are independant, wise and sexy of course.  I can't understand much of their way of persuing love. As it to me, love persuit is natural and postive, and it doesn't have too much with the sex first, and it should be for marriage finally.  But to them four women in NY city, maybe the story and the procedure is totally different. Love is love, will not lead to marriage. After watching all the seasons, i found the big difference between Americans and me.

Then, "Friends". One of my Englsh teachers, an American boy, told me that when he was a boy, he watched "friends" every tuesday night, and this habits continued for 12 years. And this series have the most widely popularity in American. And lots of Americans grew with it. I love this series too although at the first beginning, i can't tell who is who. And it's really fun to see those six people to tease each other or do some funny things. It can really bring you happiness.

Then, "4400". I didn't finish this. For i lost the DVD when i moved. It's a science fiction and i really like the imagination inside this story.

Then, the hot story of "Prison Break". I only finished the first season, for i think the second season is like a trash, for the write gave a bad story to continue. And after stopping watchin, i can't remember what happened during the first season.

Then, "desperate housewives". I got the first season too. And the first episode is fresh to me and attracts me. It's something like a detective family story. After finishing this, i found every family has its dark side although a bright side is showing outside. And it made me feel sympathetic about those who had got married. Of course, at that time, i was single:)  

After marriage, i didn't have time to watch American Series, all i watch is Korea series. Maybe that is close to our chinese life. And during that period, there is no good American Series, i suppose.  

And "gossip girl" and "Ugly Betty". I really like " Ugly Betty" , for i saw an honest, real, positive and always full of energy and spirits girl although she wears glasses, has big nose,and even wears a toothhoop with blue pearls. Looked Ugly, of course. But it's real and inspired me a lot. and i didn't finish the second season, and dont' know what will happen in the future, but wish Betty good luck with Henry.  

I love American Series, not only because of those lovely lines and intersting stories, but of those spirits inside it, which expressed never giving up when you think it's true; never giving up when you think you find a true love and so on. And the most important thing is BE YOURSELF. Maybe that's the American culture. and maybe i have to confess that i am a little penetrated:(
